Kid-Friendly Popcorn Mix-Ins
(Build-Your-Own Bowls)

Age & Safety
Notes
Popcorn is not recommended for children under 4 due to choking risk; offer a popcorn-free “mix-in bowl” (e.g., cereal + fruit) for little siblings.
For older kids, choose small, soft
mix-ins and supervise; avoid hard candies and whole nuts.
Make-Ahead & Storage
Keep mix-ins dry; add chocolate only once popcorn is cool.
For lunchboxes, pack popcorn and toppings separately; combine just before eating to keep
texture.
